March 23 - Kris joins numerous book clubs at Martha Merrell's in downtown Waukesha for a fun and lively discussion about Annie Freeman's Fabulous Traveling Funeral. 7 p.m. 262-547-1060
March 26 - The spirit of Annie Freeman and Kris travel to Madison for an apppeareance, signing, discussion and who knows what else at A Room of One's Own - 608-257-7888. The fun starts at 2 p.m. and could last for hours.
March 27-29 - Kris washes two months worth of clothing, cleans out frig, washes car, changes sheets, cleans office and sighs before doing final edits on fourth novel - The Sunday List of Dreams. Donations of wine are always welcome.

April 22 - Annie Freeman's Fabulous Traveling Funeral goes into its third printing…!! Annie continues to break hearts and make readers laugh all over the place. Go Annie…~!

May 6 - Kris will be the keynote speaker for Wisconsin Regional Writer's Association spring conference in Appleton, Wisconsin where she will no doubt be talking about the perils and joys of creating characters who can crawl under the table and bite your ankles.
May 8 - High School scholar athlete banquet - whooo! Both kids get good grades and can hit balls with their feet (soccer-Rachel) and a racquet (tennis-Andrew.)
May 10 -14 - A wild and wonderful research trip to Honduras (Kris is hoping anyway) that will become part of the fifth novel - which is coming along at a rapid and riotous pace.
May 22 - Kris braces for next month's high school graduation of her first born by attending the senior honors awards night. Please pass the tissue.
May 24 - Book club discussion with hard working women from the East Coast.

June 4 - Son Andrew graduates. The college bills begin arriving. Kris cries all day and tells stories about when son put things in his ears and she changed his diapers.
June 16 - Children leave for foreign country where they will wow audiences with their acting, singing, wiseacre comments and back home the bathroom will stay clean until they return.
June 24 - Signing of every single book Kris ever published and any other ones she wants to sign at Relatively Wilde - 42 South Broadway, Denver, Colorado 1-3 p.m. - 1- 866-77WILDE. This promises to be VERY wild.

July 15 - Chicagoland private party and book signing that includes wild croquet game and a very large amount of laughter.
July 17 - Bantam Dell Book Club to Virginia.
July 18 - Book chat with one of the longest running book clubs in Nebraska. Wow.
July 19 - Bantam Book Chat to Massachusetts.
July 20 - Kris attends wild wedding of her former boss, Jim Balistreri, where she worked as a long-legged waitress and where she and her pal, Char, put dark beer into coffee cups at the end of the Friday night shifts.(Well - okay - every shift)
July 26 - Kris begins watching calendar to see when teenage daughter goes back to school and son packs up for college following the 27th poker party and sleepover of the summer.

August 5 - Cigar Babes Honduras trip reunion….alert police officials.
August 10 - Book Club chat with the lively YaYa Bookies in Arlington, Texas.
August 14 - Book Chat with the Lundi book women in St. Louis.
August 16 - Son Andrew begins three-week process of cleaning out his basement suite before packing whatever is left for college.

September 9 - Kris joins the Women's Network Exchange of Arizona as the speaker for their 7th Annual Women's Conference in Lake Havasu city, Arizona - tickets available - 928-505-8612.
September 14 - Women Inspiring Women - Kris will be the speaker for the fall kickoff for the woman's networking and empowering event sponsored by the law firm of O'Neil, Cannon, Hollman, DeJong which focuses on Dreams, Determination and Devotion… and really good dry wine to keep you going "until you get there" and a hell of a laugh - Kris is quick to add.
September 14 - Ale of a Good Book Club - chat on Pawley's Island.
September 28-29 - Kris attends Midwest Bookseller's Association convention in Minneapolis signing and gabbing all the way.

October 1 - Son Andrew turns 19 and must endure the 19th telling of the day he was a born story and was a breach - c-section emergency delivery. Bad, bad boy. Happy birthday you little sweetheart.
October 4 - Kris has her annual mammogram. If you don't get one - get one. If you do - good luck. Consider it a gift to yourself. Get going.
October 10 - Book chat with Prescott, Arizona book club.
October 16 - Surprise Book Club chat.
October 17 - Plainfield Public Library - phone chat. Kris loves her libraries.
October 18 - Lively book chat with Super Moms Book Club in Virginia.

October 29 - Daughter Rachel plays her last club soccer match - pray it does not snow.

November 6 - Dress rehearsal for The Crucible. Mom gets nervous.

December 23 - Son Andrew arrives home from the University of Wisconsin - Madison for semester break. Please pass the food and laundry detergent.
December 25 - Holiday festivities at Grandma Radish's house. Think great food. Good wine. The counting of many blessings.

January 1 - Ya-Who. Twenty-two more days until the release of The Sunday List of Dreams.
January 5 - Daughter Rachel turns 17. Mothers throw surprise birthday party. Well it was a surprise.

March 20 - CD release party in Chicago for Sunday List of Dreams CD produced, written and sung by Linda Smith who was inspired by The Sunday List of Dreams.
March 24 - 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. - Kris will be the featured author at the WOMENSPACE event held at Barnes and Noble Bookstore - 6685 East State Street - Rockford, Ill - 815-399-3410 - open to the public.
March 29 - Son Andrew's spring break begins -- prepare the washing machine.

April 5 - Book Phone Chat with Novel Ideas Bookstore in Door County, Wisconsin.
April 7 - Daughter Rachel's spring break begins - prepare the refrigerator.
April 8 - Rachel accompanies author mother on a hopefully sane and fun and not too wild research trip to a location with a beach, flush toilets and a secret adventure or two. Watch the police reports and watch out for the Easter bunny - she is a wild thing.
April 10 - Time to make the six-month appointment for an extra left breast mammogram.
April 13 -15 - Come join Kris at the Kohler Spa for a dinner, talk, book signing and hours of soothing fun. Check out www.destinationkohler.com, click on spa events and there you go. Call 1-800-344-2838 for details. This is a fabulous resort and event. Fun and relaxation is guaranteed.
April 19 - Back to see golf specialist and teacher extraordinnaire Margie Muzik in Chicago where we will hopefully be out of the dome and outside hitting the living hell out of those little white balls. (Margie is sooo patient with Radishes.)
April 20 - One more brutal day of golf work this time with Sharon Smith of Fore Fitness & Rehabilitation in Evanston. Sharon specializes in sports performance training and is a physical therapist. She is a golf miracle worker. Details in the next letter unless she kicks me out.
April 21 - Did I mention it's soccer season? Games all weekend. Go Rachel.
April 22 - Happy Earth Day. Plant something. Pick up garbage. Salute Al Gore.
April 26 - Birthday book club chat to Baltimore.


May 1 - Radish heads to Central America for more research for her sixth novel. Think jungle, bushes, plants and scared locals.
May 15 - Ohio Barnes and Noble book club phone chat.
May 18-20 - Radish Family reunion in Lakewood, Wisconsin -- alert the Highway Patrol.
May 22 - Another golf lesson with Queen Margie and another workout with Sharon. Yes - something about golf will be coming up in a novel…….you got me.
May 31 - June 3 - Kris attends Book Expo America in New York. Details en-route. Hang on kids.

June 4 - Benefit book club appearance for Roger's Memorial Hospital.
June 11 - Rachel heads to Spain - yes, the country Spain, for Spanish (duh) emersion trip and an abroad experience for a broad-to-be.

July 11 - Mother Radish takes daughter Rachel on her first college campus visit. Let the games begin.
July 16 - Kris catches the Lake Michigan Lake Express boat at the crack of dawn in route to her Michigan tour. She will boldly try and golf after driving and not sleeping this very afternoon.
July 17 - The Sunday List of Dreams comes to life at Saturn Booksellers - 133 W. Main Street - Gaylord, Michigan - This event was standing room only last year and very much fun. Call 989-732-8899. The event starts at 5 p.m. and afterwards there is a beauty pageant behind the store - honest. Talk about a perfect evening.
July 18 - Sunday List moves to Petoskey, Michigan at McLean & Eakin Booksellers for an evening of dream sharing, lively discussion and more than a few surprises. This event was also packed last year so get there early for a front row seat and to count the new lines on the Radish face since year. This fabulous store is at 307 E. Lake Street - 231-347-1180
July 25 - Annie Freeman's Fabulous Traveling Funeral phone chat to Northern Wisconsin book club.
July 26 - Golfarama day in Chicago. Kris works on her short game (Thank Heavens) with patient golf pro Margie Muzik. Margie will also be helping Kris work with her NEW golf clubs which Kris loves so much she keeps them next to her bed.
July 27 - Day Two of Chicago Golfarama continues with the also ever-patient golf fitness expert Sharon Smith, president of Fore Fitness and Rehabilitation, actually being bold enough to play golf with The Radish after a work session.



August 3 - Annual Chicago Summer Private Party in Chicago suburb where Kris will discuss her work and do a summer reading. This is a private party but at least you know where she will be that day.
August 11 - Kris and her manager/partner Madonna hit the high seas of Lake Michigan with friends for a day of charter fishing and most likely a little sea sickness.
August 15 - First of what will be many golf playoffs with Radish's golfer girls - Sharon and Margie at a Southern Wisconsin golf resort. The Radish lost a bet and will be wearing what she is told to wear all day long as she caddies for her golf experts. This may be a long, long, long day.
August 17 - son Andrew moves into his first-ever college apartment in Madison, Wisconsin as he begins his second year of college. Alleluia….~!!!!!



September 4 - First day of school. Please pass the wine.
September 7 - Daughter's first varsity tennis match. No yelling allowed.
September 9 - Fall soccer season starts - again. Get out the chairs and blankets.
September 13 - The Sunday List of Dreams phone chat with wild Midwestern book club.
Sept. 14-19 - New Mexico research trip.
September 18 - Happy birthday to me - yet again.
September 20 - Cigar Babes fall cookout with cigar selling Maria.
September 28 - Private Book Event with a fabulous group of Northern Wisconsin women.

Nov. 10-17 - Bye-bye Wisconsin, as Kris heads to a place where people mostly speak Spanish for a little research and okay, maybe one Pina Colada.
Nov. 22 - Thanksgiving dinner will be cooked, and Kris and Co. will see if they can NOT start the dining room table on fire this year. Yes, it really happened.



Dec. 9- 12 - Trip to the Big Apple to meet with agents, editors and all the wonderful marketing and public relations darlings at Bantam Dell. Daughter Rachel gets to come along and have a big city college interview…today Oconomowoc - tomorrow the world.

December 19 - Son Andrew arrives home for holiday break. Stock up on meat, potatoes, veggies and no pizza please.

December 25 - Santa arrives late as the babies sleep in, and then it's a haul over to grandma and grandpa's for snacks, drinks with a kick, a few presents, and the blessing of having everyone around one more lively year.

Dec. 28-30 - The children agree to spend several days in a remote cabin in what could be one of the last family trips for a very long time. Think ice fishing, movies, pasta on the stove and Kris sobbing as her babies fly like the wind.

December 31 - Book talk, champagne, laughter and who knows what else at a private Chicagoland party.

January 11 - Photo shoot with Kris and the totally talented Deone Jahnke who always manages to make Kris look much, much better than she really does.

January 25-27 - BookMania! In Stuart, Florida, as Kris joins a select group of authors participating in a fabulous annual library foundation fundraiser for the Martin County Library System. Check out www.library.martin.fl.us.
