What is your Paradise?
A night alone... Swimming in an aqua ocean... A night out with friends... Share your ideas and Kris will post them once a month and if she uses your thoughts she will send you a wild surprise. PARADISE is…………… My paradise is....sinking into a hot bath with a good book and some excellent chocolate. My idea of Paradise - spending a week in Mazatlan, Mexico with my sister and her best friend and my best friend with about 5 million books. No males -- no kids -- no cooking -- no cleaning! Just rest and relaxation! We sit around reading, indoors and under the palapas by the pool -- trading books -- laughing -- drinking and eating. And shopping with the beach vendors (great cheap jewelry). Unbelievable -- we've been doing this for years and we all can't wait for the time to pack. Paradise is hiking in the woods with my husband and son, no one else on the trail and my knees not hurting so we can get to the top of a peak. It doesn't have to be a huge peak, 2000 feet is good. Just the quiet woods, a warm day and a comfortable pack to accompany us. The ultimate is when my kids look out between a couple of trees on a little ledge and say "It's beautiful". Then I know I gave them something that money couldn't buy, an appreciation for nature. My paradise is sitting on the pier in Three Lakes, WI in the middle of the summer at sunset. Looking across the lake you get the MOST perfect view of the sunset, the air is fresh from all the pine trees and the lake gets oh so calm at the end of the day. I love it. Can't wait to see it again this summer. My paradise? That's easy! It would be to have all of my three kids together again! We would have food brought in ('cause mom would rather visit with her three adored ones than cook), laugh, and remember old times! If this all took place on an island somewhere, all the better! But really, it could be anywhere, as long as all three kids were with me! Paradise is following your heart….wherever it leads you!!! Paradise is that wonderful easy moment of "new spring" when the air feels softer then your memory can recall, and the harshness of cold dreary Wisconsin Winter seem to move aside for it's sassy and spunky cousin "Sping". When you can walk across brick pathways without shoes or stockings, and feel the heat radiate up. MMMmmmmmm ...LOVELY...... My paradise is in the safety net of my friends... laughing, talking over each other, sharing. They are literally my "life" savers even though they don't realize it. Doesn't matter where we are. |
